He’s been in a play a year since he was 5. He was in two last year. We got it on video and went to watch it on my older computer. My player decided it wasn’t going to work. It’s been over a year since we have seen his play and I really was going to watch it no matter what! So I looked around online to find a media player. I found the VLC media player. Worked like a charm!
I’m so glad I found that media player. I got to see my boy in his play. They did a take on Alice In Wonderland, involving 8 Alice’s (different views on Alice). He was the Hare. He had so many lines and I am so proud to see him do his thing. Acting for him is a good and a bad thing. It’s a great outlet for his creativity. He loves the challenge of learning the lines and getting into character. As a mom it can be a bit tiring on my nerves. He’s always been very emotional and very loud. Which will serve him well as an actor. As a son it tends to make a mama want to lay in the floor and cry along with him when he got that hang nail. You know?
I never want to squash my children’s creativity or outlet. I want him to be the person that he is, acting and all! Sometimes I just wish I had a volume button I could turn down…or maybe mute occasionally. Loving our children means accepting them as they are. I mean goodness gracious he loves me…warts and all! 😛
