I was given a Rubbermaid Lunch Box set to review. My children are about to head back to school. You know what that means? Lots of early morning, packing lunches, stressed mama as she gets everyone ready to head out to start her day. When the set arrived, I pulled it out and I have to admit I love the way the little containers all fit together. I loved that the blue block of ice (ice pack) locks into the containers as well. This means your child’s food is guaranteed to stay cold! Having 3 kids means I pack a lot of lunches. This set will make my mornings easier for sure.
You can pick these up at almost any local retailer. Target, Walmart, Kroger, Kmart, HEB, Safeway, BiLo and Winn Dixie carries them for around $12.99 a set. They are microwave and dishwasher safe. Here’s my favorite…they are BPA Free! Yay for a good quality product that has no BPA in it. That’s a product a mama can love!
As a mom the first thing I do is have my youngest daughter open the items with things in it. This will tell me if she can open it and if it’s so hard to open it that it spills on her. She had no trouble opening a small container with applesauce in it. She didn’t spill any applesauce whatsoever. That’s the mark of a good lunch box item for me as a mom! If my 6 year old can open it then we are good to go! I put it in her lunchbox and she had no problem putting them back together and putting it back in her lunchbox. She’s ready for lunch.
Thank you Rubbermaid for making a quality product that my 6 year old has no problem getting into! Visit Rubbermaid on facebook and follow them on twitter @rubbermaid.
