Buying a short sale home is a good thing!

We recently bought a short sale. We bought it in another state and it is our beach home. You can not go wrong buying a nevada short sale as long as you know what can happen. Here are some things you have to be aware of.

1. Condition of the home will not be pristine. The owners often times have already left and may have left the home a mess or left lots of stuff behind. More than likely you will have to do some work to get the house ready to move in.

2. Your closing time is determined by the bank not the realtor. You have no control over when you close. It could be in 2 months or it could be in 8 months. It just depends on how quickly the bank is moving. Make sure you have the time before you look at short sales.

3. You will get a great deal. Now is the time to jump on the short sales as they will be a great deal for a house. You can find them thousands of dollars less than the going price of a house. So if you’re ready to find a gem in the rough look for a short sale house.

We have had our short sale home for over six months now and are so happy. We had to do a lot of work to clean it up and even had to repair some things in the house. But it’s been so worth it. Go find your gem!
