Can you name 5 Ways to Save Money on Gas?
In this day and age when gas prices just seem to keep climbing we have got to find ways to save money on our gas usage. Here are a few tips that should help you with your gas consumption.
1. Make sure your tires are properly inflated. Semi-inflated tires that are not inflated to the recommended amount of tire pressure cause you to use more gas than if your tires were at the correct amount of pressure. You can find what your recommended tire pressure is on the door of your car. Then check it next time you are at a gas station.
2. Properly maintain your vehicle. Make sure you are doing your tune ups and regularly scheduled maintenance. This will ensure that your carburetor is clean and your fuel usage will be better than if your carburetor was clogged. Get those regularly scheduled maintenance visits!
3. Combine all your trips. I try to make sure that I get all my errands done when I’m out to pick up the children from school. That is my time to get my trips done! When you combine trips you are not wasting an ounce of gasoline!
4. Use your feet. If you live within a mile of the grocery store, post office, doctor’s office, etc just use your feet to get you there. That is free and not using any gas. It’s important to get in 10000 steps anyway so why not do it and get your office visits or errands ran too.
5. If you have access to a bike or a scooter use those. The bike uses no gas and the scooters use hardly any! These are great gas savers. If you are looking for a bike or a scooter make sure to check out Skatehut to see what they have now.
When you are looking for 5 ways to save on gas you can look no further then your own house.
Your feet, bicycle, scooter will save you on gas every time. If you can’t do that and you have to travel then make sure your car is properly maintained. What other ways can you think of to save on gas? Leave me a comment and let me know.
