I have always used layaway

This is a sponsored post, I am a Kmart Layaway blogger, though all opinions are my own.

do you? We have never gotten a big bonus at holiday time to purchase our Christmas presents. So holiday gifts have always been put on free layaway at our house. We have used it every year for the last 10 years.  Probably since we had more than one child. LOL When we bought our first home we even put our riding lawn mower on layaway. It’s a great way to budget your money to save for things you want to buy. My friend  Missy  and I used to shop and use layaway to get clothes for work too. Layaway just makes sense.

Kmart’s Big Layaway Giveaway is launching to bring more awareness that you have options at Christmas time beyond the credit cards. Each KMart store between 9/9/12 and 11/17/12 will be giving one person their layaway for free! The great thing about their layaway is that they have an 8 week or 12 week contract ($300 minimum for 12 week) for layaway. I would much rather pay a $5 or $10 service fee and put my items on layaway rather than pay credit card interest. This fall we will be buying gifts for my kids for Christmas and we begin to put them on layaway in October so that it’s out by Christmas. So, let’s see that’s one tv, one new controller for the PS 3, a diary for my girl, dvd’s for my husband, clothes for myself and so much more! How will you pay for your kids Christmas? Layaway just makes sense!
