Mary Hughes has an interesting interpretation of the world of vampires in “Biting Oz”. Junior and Glynn are intriging main characters that I liked right away and found myself rooting for. Hughes’s use of comedy lightens the usual “dark” world of vampires and makes you feel this world is perfectly normal. Junior’s hovering parents add an interesting wrinkle as the two lovers attempt to get closer. Living with them and having a curfew in her mid twenties puts a quite a damper on Junior’s love life.<\/p>\n

Although I felt the story line was a bit predictable at times, it was very entertaining and I did find myself anticipating what would happen next. The intimate scenes were a tad much for my taste and I felt the story would have been even better with more details left to the readers imagination. Due to the language and adult themes this book is definitely an adult read. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n
