Mark of the Witch is a supernatural love story filled with intrigue. \u00a0The author has stepped away from using Vampires as her immortals, opting instead for an ancient kind of immortal that is just born that way. That in itself was a pleasant surprise for me. \u00a0The story in essence is about family and history. \u00a0The chords that bind and sometimes pull us apart. \u00a0This is illustrated well in the sibling relationships in the story itself. \u00a0Throw in a jealous ex-girlfriend (who is immortal and therefore NEVER goes away) and some unhappy family history, and you have quite a decent and fairly, original story.<\/p>\n

It would be fair to say, that Mark of the Witch wouldn’t be everyone’s cup of tea. \u00a0There are scenes of conjuring up spells. \u00a0Then again, the main character is a witch, so one has to expect that. \u00a0The writing style may also not be everyone’s cup of tea. \u00a0There were times when the dialogue felt stilted and unnatural, but for a light, lay next to the pool, or on the beach read, Mark of the Witch by Jessica Gibson is fairly enjoyable
