My daughter and I began to think about our upcoming garden. We went ahead and planted lettuce in an indoor container with the hopes of having lettuce in 2 months and keeping it growing in the house. There’s just something about growing your own food. It was such a great activity to do with my daughter. She loves salad and she loves being a part of the process of growing her own food.<\/p>\n

My kids and I had this discussion that it is always important to know where your food comes from. It’s also so important to know how to grow it yourself. Be prepared is my motto. So, she planted it and watered it and we’re waiting for it to grow. In two weeks we’ll plant some more so that we can always pull a salad from our own garden. I can’t wait to see it sprout and grow!<\/p>\n

As you can tell from the pictures that anything will do as a table at my house. Note the old non working computer tower. LOL It has a nice sunny spot there by the window. My girl is so proud of her soon to be lettuce! Love those kids!<\/p>\n
