Making Blueberry Freezer Jam recipe

I love to cook and can my goodies from the garden. However the canning process makes me so nervous that I tend to freeze most everything. We went to a blueberry farm and we picked tons of fresh organic blueberries. What on earth should I do with all this?

I decided that I needed to try making blueberry freezer jam!

I made it last week and it was so good! I took lots of pics so I could share the recipe here!

Here’s how I made the blueberry freezer jam.

The cast of characters were:

4 jelly jars with lids

2 packets freezer jam pectin

3 1/3 cups of crushed berries

1 1/3 cups sugar

First I crushed the berries using my potato masher. I, also, used my meat tenderizer to make sure all berries were mashed.

Then I added the sugar and pectin.

Stirred it up for 3 minutes. Make sure you stir for 3 minutes.

Then ladle into jars and let sit for 30 minutes.

Then freeze. And if you’re me, you make toast quickly and put the yummy blueberry jam on it!

I’ve never made blueberry freezer jam before.

But I most definitely will make it again. It’s quick and easy and so yummy! I made this simply following the directions on the Ball fruit pectic. So easy, simple, and delicious.
