SmartBones The Smart Alternative to Rawhide

SmartBones® is the next generation dog chew that has all the benefits of a
rawhide chew – without the rawhide.
SmartBones.com graciously sent me two bags of SmartBones for my 2 dogs to review. They had 1 bag of the Chicken and 1 bag of the Dental variety. Here’s what Duke and Brutus had to say about these treats. “Sniff…Sniff..ummm…those smell good. GIMME! GIMME! They started with the Chicken flavor. “Oh yeah! These are really good, Mom! Can we have more?” But, alas, Mom said no, these are special treats. “Bummer!” A few days later they got to try the Dental treats. I wasn’t sure if they would like these or not. But, fear not, my boys were up to the test. “Yes, Mom, these are good too. More?” Well, you know the answer. They got the remaining 2 SmartBones a few days later.
Both Duke and Brutus have very sensitive stomachs that seem to get worse as they get older. I was somewhat concerned as to how SmartBones would affect their tummies. Neither of them had any problems. WOOT! It’s good finding a treat that tastes good, is good for them and doesn’t upset their stomachs.

My vote: A+

SmartBones Fact Sheet
  • SmartBones are 99.2% digestible, which is higher than the digestibility of premium dog foods (85% digestibility).
  • Chicken, vegetables and other healthy ingredients dogs will love are used in making SmartBones.
  • SmartBones are the first treats of their kind to be enhanced with vitamins and minerals.
  • SmartBones are safer for dogs than regular rawhide treats, which may cause intestinal blockages.
  • SmartBones are environmentally friendly, whereas a toxic chemical process is needed to create consumable rawhide for treats.

NOTE: I was a little concerned because SmartBones are manufactured in China and there has been a lot of pet treats made in China in the new lately. I had quit buying the products made in China. Therefore, I sent a message to my contact at SmartBones and he replied quickly with an answer that completely sets my mind at ease. I would like to share his response with you. “SmartBones are made in China in a facility that was designed by SmartBones Chief Science Officer Martin Glinsky, Ph.D. It was built specifically for their manufacturing requirements following strict quality control and assurance programs –so it’s 100% safe.” I wanted to share this with my readers in case any of you had any of the same concerns that I had. You can go to http://www.smartbones.com to order your SmartBones right now. SmartBones is also on Facebook.

But wait! There’s more! SmartBones.com has agreed to sponsor a giveaway for my readers. Two (2) readers will each receive two (2) packages of SmartBones. Enter on the Rafflecopter entry form below.

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
