Christmas is just around the corner. Being a mom to 3 children I know the difficulties of coming up with money to buy Christmas presents and then the next month I have to come up with birthday presents. It’s so difficult.
1. Sell your dvd’s, cd’s and games If you’re not currently watching them or playing with them then go ahead and get rid of them. Decluttering your house makes you feel so much better too!
2. Offer to make meals for other busy parents and charge them a fee. This way you both win. You get cash and make them a hot meal and they get a meal that prevents them from eating fast food.
3. Make homemade gifts in a jar, bread, baked goods and sell them at craft fairs/yard sales. Many people want to give the gift of a homemade gift without actually having to make it. Why not make it for them!
4. Run errands for these busy parents. You can offer them services like getting groceries, buying presents, running to the post office, clean their house etc. Make up flyers with all the services you can do for them. Many people just need more time during the holidays and when they see your services they will hire you. You can be the person to give them more time! Time is a gift that never gets old.
5. Offer a gift wrapping service Many parents who work would love to have someone to wrap their presents for them. It’s one less thing for them to do.
When you implement these ideas you will find yourself making money that you can then put back for your family’s Christmas presents. Let me know if you’ve ever tried these 5 quick ideas to make money for Christmas.
