When my hubby gets paid twice a month we go to the store. We purchase as much of the food we can for the next two weeks. I usually spend around $200 so around $100 a week for a family of 5. I try to make sure that we eat meatless at least once and have a meal made around beans or soup once to stretch our money. Here’s some of my meals I’ll be making this week!
Sunday: Tacos, homemade guacamole with white cheese sauce…YUM!
Monday: Meatless we normally eat a nice big salad but this week I’m going to make pinto beans in the slow cooker and corn bread. This will make my hubby so happy. I’ll post the recipe after we eat it.
Tuesday: Baked chicken, baked squash and zucchini
Wednesday: Slow Cooker Chicken Cacciatore My girl just got promoted to level 3 in gymnastics so she now goes for 2 hours of training and we don’t get home until late. So every Wednesday it’s going to have to be a slow cooker meal.
Thursday: Baked Turkey Breast (using my Turkey recipe from Thanksgiving), steamed asparagus, homegrown tomatoes
Friday: homemade pizza
