When I went on my honeymoon back in the 1990’s I wanted something special to bring back home. I looked over the islands and wasn’t happy with just the average tee shirt as a souvenir. As I was walking around I saw people doing caricatures and stopped to watch. It’s fascinating to me how people can sketch so fast. At the very next booth I found my souvenir from my honeymoon.
I bought two beautiful prints of the tropical islands that we were visiting. To this day they make me smile when I see them. The were rolled up and put in a cylinder for me to put them in my suitcase to bring them home. Once home I took them to the local framing store. He showed me the many choices of picture frames for your home. We talked about the color of the room they would be in and selected the matte to go around them. The process was simple and quick.
They are still hanging in my home today. I smile when I see them. It serves as a reminder of what that honeymoon meant to me. It was a turning point in my life. One that I am glad I made. The journey hasn’t been easy in many ways. But it’s been worth the ride. Try to think outside the box when you are on vacation. You can find things like pictures or posters framed to be your souvenir for years to come.
The picture frames you choose to hang in your home say a lot about you. Are you traditional and classic in your choosing of picture frames? Or do you tend to be more off the wall and modern? Either way the picture frames you choose will bring smiles to your face for years to come! If not, they are very quick and easy to change!
