Chocolate Slow Cooker Homemade Holiday Treats #homemadeholidaytreats

I’m on a diet. Why did I just put 3 lbs of chocolate in my crockpot? Oy vey! This is not going to be good for my waistline but will be yummy for the family. It would make a great item to include in Christmas treats or to take to a party and it’s so simple to make. To top it all off you get to use your slow cooker and set it and forget it! Yeah! Here’s the cast of characters.

I don’t know about you but I’m one of those cooks that throws whatever I have in. So you’re supposed to have:

36 oz salted peanuts (I love all kinds of nuts so I used dry roasted salted peanuts, mixed nuts, and even some pecans I had)

1 bar of german chocolate from Baker’s

1 package of semisweet chocolate chips

1 entire package of white almond bark

And you layer it in the slow cooker in that order. Here’s the pics. I got a little picture crazy here! Nuts.

German Chocolate.

Now chocolate chips.

White almond bark.

Lid on and 3 hour wait, uh I mean cooking  on low! My crockpot cooks really hot. So I was super paranoid about it burning. I turned it off after 2 hours and 15 minutes and left it for another hour to just sit. It was perfect after I stirred it.

And the final product! It is to die for!

And Plated up Chocolate Yummy Goodness!!

I found this item on Pinterest from Trisha Yearwood’s recipe. I adapted it for myself. Hope you make it and enjoy it regularly with your family. It’s a simple go to candy that can be made so very easily! Want some more recipes? Check out the other great holiday treats listed on our friend’s blogs!
